Greetings children who should be doing their homework but who are spending extra time on Moran’s AP English Blog…
We can predict the future, as you already know, and this is what WILL occur in Obama’s State of the Union Speech:
-He will not ask rhetorical questions (thanks for the heads up, Ms. Moran)
-He will mention the recession
-He will use a euphemism for the issues with sending troops in Iraq, so as to dull down the flaws of this plan (in an attempt to make the democrats clap)
-He will use an aposiopesis (pausing for dramatic effect while the audience applauds)
-He will use tautology, most likely with the words “We are” or “America is” or “We will” or something along those lines
-His tone will be formal, persuasive, and will appeal to pathos and logos (it is CONGRESS after all)
-He will not speak about being a ghetto president…directly…
-He will make an allusion to former presidents and their actions (*cough cough* Bush)
-He will personify the United States
Quote from this lesson:
Sharina: He’ll personify the United States…
Alice: Give me an example.
Sharina: It’s a bit sick right now…but it’ll get better.
Alice: WITH HEALTH CARE REFORMS!
hahahahaha (I promise you, it’s funny)
